From the day I saw one of these… I told myself:

«One day… One of these beauties will stand proudly in my garage!»

By hentaidrifter on December 17th, 2011 at 11:00 am

Thumbs up if you think there should be a merger between Toyota and Yamaha.

wow, my two favorite japanese cars (mazda cosmo and 2000gt) were limited production.

That sucks hard, I wish they would have made alot of them so I could own one one day ):

dang!!! that car only had 44000km. wonder how much that car is worth.

By StellarBlue1 on December 17th, 2011 at 12:01 pm

This is one of my favorite cars of all time. A timeless classic!

By Schlipperschlopper on December 17th, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Some say it is worlds best inline 6 engine!

By Grollenkutzel on December 17th, 2011 at 7:39 pm

have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc… and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners do so Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree! ..

By KosaiAvonej on December 17th, 2011 at 8:03 pm

@klassiekerrally True. The only thing Toyota makes anymore is generic uninspired sedans.

the original supra

old school version of the LFA haha

@yf21bowman But even at $6,800 in 1967, that was still nearly twice the Datsun 240Z’s price in 1970, which sold for $3,526 that first year in U.S. (Port of entry.) The Datsun 240Z offered its own unique, beautiful styling and no less that base horsepower in an engine of 2.4 liters in size, thereby with more torque and yet for less money.

@bettydaw1970 150 bhp base and up to 345 in race tune for a limited handful for competition. All carried a 2.0-liter DOHC inline 6, a modified version of the ‘full-size’ Toyota Crown sedan unit.

we just bought a 2009 yaris. hope i get the miles out it like you did.

By triniper4mance on December 17th, 2011 at 10:30 pm

@metvelle I’ve got 453,000 miles on it so far and it still runs like a dream.

so if you are still driving this car, and this video is almost 13/4 years old how many miles do you have on the car now?

Iv heard yaris was a very reliable car. Dont know about the new yaris but i expect when i buy mine its gonna do all the miles im gonna need

you must not be driving as much anymore. I have a 2002 Echo with 825,000 km or 512,000 miles , ive had the car since Nov 02 when it had 108,000km. I do alot os stop and go and have done quite a few wheel bearings.

how many times did this song replay… holy tits shit

@triniper4mance thanks soo much for the reply i will be definitely considering it.. I also have another question… I have read that some people have purchased the yaris and toyota did not put an in cabin air filter and sometimes things would get into the air vents causing a raddeling noise or sounding like paper stuck in the vent ??? also have you ever had a problem with your AC being any mildew smell or things of this nature?? Thanks again :) !!!

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 2:19 am

@neoopera Nope, I’ve personally never had any electrical problem except when my alternator went out @ 323,000 miles and I had to replace it. Other than that, none.

@triniper4mance hey i REALLY want to get a yaris and I have read some reviews of people haveing some electrical type problems. Have you had any type of these problems. A response will be highly appreciated thanks in advance! :)

@Island728 Initially I used 3qts of Walmart brand Super Tech Synthetic 5w30 with 1qt of oil stabilizer. Then switched to 4qts of Mobil1 0w30 with no stabilizer, but I was losing too much oil in between oil changes. So, now I only use Mobil1 5w30 High Mileage oil only. And I’ve always used Toyota OEM oil filters from days one.

@triniper4mance may i ask what oil do you use and do you preform it based on manufacturing recommendation at the dealership? thx!

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 3:50 am

@Island728 I think I can do a million miles with it.

@triniper4mance how is that possible….. how far do you think the car can go just take a guess?

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 4:59 am

@Island728 Nope! 450,000 miles and still going strong.

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 5:43 am

@e36Bandit Check my new video of it turning 450,000 miles.

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 5:44 am

@manicbidder There are a lot of Honda’s and Toyota’s that I know of, that did a million miles on the original motor untouched. And Honda and Toyota gave them new vehicles for free in exchange for their’s. I actually did more miles in my Yaris locally than a friend of mine that use to drive trucks cross country.

the car dead yet?

Wow, and I thought my 17 year old BMW having 232k was high up.

I’m no fan of Toyota’s, but I have to say I am very impressed to see 400k on that Yaris already, Thats shocking to see on just a 3 1/2 year old car during the time that video was shot.

How many miles has it reached now?

By manicbidder on December 18th, 2011 at 7:32 am

@Broadcastbuddy2 You actually only ever see tougher truck motors make it that long and usually any vehicle with a million miles has had other major component replacements. I’ve never seen a domestic car make it a million miles on the original engine and transmission. It’s possible for truck motors to survive that long but we’re talking about a cheap Yaris here not a heavy duty truck motor.

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 8:11 am

@playmobil28 Speeding tickets? Sorry, but I never heard of those…..lol. I actually don’t get speeding tickets. I’m not a speeder.

By playmobil28 on December 18th, 2011 at 9:07 am

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 9:21 am

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 10:28 am

@mi3pwns I use to drive a lot because of my job. But now I don’t anymore.

By triniper4mance on December 18th, 2011 at 11:21 am

@boner0329 I buy the OEM filters from my local Toyota Dealership. The 0w30 is better for fuel efficiency.
